The Mazda Bongo Company is the UK's leading Mazda Bongo importer. All of our vehicles are hand picked and sourced direct from Japan. We are the approved distributor for the South West. We are however able to supply Bongos purchased through ourselves to any location in the UK. Following delivery from the docks, each vehicle is prepared to full UK requirements. This consists of: Conversion of speedometer from kilometers to MPH. Installation of foglight (not a pre-requisite in Japan). Also waveband expander to existing radio. Each vehicle is serviced to include oil and filter changes where necessary.

Every Bongo or Freda then undergoes a full MOT inspection and is subsequently issued with a new MOT certificate. Where necessary a SVA (Single Vehicle Approval Certificate) is obtained dependant on the age of the car.

Following the above preparations the Japanese Deregistration papers and various import documentation are presented to the DVLA office where Interpol checks etc are carried out. Following which a new age related registration is allocated in our case indicating the county of Cornwall.

Should you require a 'cherished number' these can be purchased relatively inexpensively through DVLA. Once we have the documentation this can then be registered as a first reg for your vehicle.
